Full Day:Journey to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain

We will start our day early to maximize our adventure. We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM. Our journey begins with a scenic 2-hour drive to Cusipata-Paucarpata.
If you are awake during the trip you will see how the landscapes start to change as we approach the highlands.

Upon arrival in Cusipata-Paucarpata, we will enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast at a local restaurant. This meal will energize us for the trek ahead. After breakfast, a short 40-minute drive takes us to Llaqto, the starting point of our hike.

From Llaqto, we will embark on our trek. We will pass by the breathtaking Wiñay Ritty (‘Forever Young’ mountain). We will immerse ourselves in the natural beauty en route to the top.

The hike to Rainbow Mountain offers an opportunity to witness the stunning panoramic views, also known as Vinicunca. We will spend ample time here to rest, explore, and take unforgettable photos.

The return trek leads us back to Llaqto. Here, our transport awaits to take us back to Cusipata-Paucarpata. Once we are here we will have a well-deserved buffet lunch with exquisite local dishes.

We will conclude our day with a relaxing drive back to Cusco, arriving between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

The Rainbow Mountain tour is a must! The landscapes are something out of this world, and the trek, although challenging, is incredibly rewarding. We had ample time to take photos and just soak in the beauty. Plus, the horseback ride option was a lifesaver for when I got too tired!
