On the first day of our Choquequirao Trek 4 Days, we will begin an extraordinary journey to the ancient Inca site of Choquequirao. Gathering early in Cusco, we will set off towards our first destination, the small village of Chiquisca. Upon arrival at Chiquisca, we will start our trek. The trek from La Playa to Marampata will be a significant climb. As we ascend, we will be treated to increasingly spectacular views of the Apurimac canyon and its surrounding peaks. After breakfast, we will begin our guided tour of Choquequirao. We will start by retracing our steps towards Capuliyoc. As we hike, we’ll have a chance to reflect on the amazing experiences of the past few days. This part of the trek is a gradual ascent, offering us one last opportunity to enjoy the stunning views of the Apurimac Valley. The path will lead us through the same beautiful landscapes that welcomed us on the first day, now familiar and even more cherished.
Upon reaching Capuliyoc, we will continue to Cachora, where our trek officially ends. From Cachora, we will board our transportation back to Cusco. This drive will allow us to relax and enjoy the scenic vistas of the Peruvian countryside, marking a peaceful end to our adventurous journey.
