Full Day:Journey to Humantay Lake

We will start early in the morning, picking everyone up from their hotels between 4:30 to 5:00 AM. After everyone is onboard, we will embark on a two-hour drive to Mollepata. Here, a delicious buffet breakfast awaits us, fueling us for the day ahead.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Soraypampa, the starting point of our hike. This leg of the drive will offer scenic views of the Andes and local farmlands. Upon arrival, our tour guide will give you ample time to prepare your hiking gear.

The hike to Humantay Lake begins at Soraypampa, situated at an altitude of 3,900 meters (12,795 feet). We will ascend to the lake, located at 4,250 meters (13,943 feet), over a 1.5-hour trek. The path is steep but rewarding, with stunning vistas.

Upon reaching Humantay Lake, we will spend time enjoying the serene beauty of the turquoise waters and the surrounding peaks. Our guide will demonstrate the traditional use of coca leaves and conduct a small offering to the Apu spirits in gratitude. After soaking in the natural beauty, we will descend back to Soraypampa.

We will then return to Mollepata for a hearty buffet lunch, recapping the morning’s adventure.
